City of London Corporation, the totally autonomous Borough operating in the square mile of central London has purchased a new Buckingham 'special' to deal with the leachate waste from the 1,000 plus flats and other establishments in the Barbican area. To save considerable sums, senior managers Vince Dignam and Rob Ellis wisely sought and acquired an excellent low mileage Dennis Elite 2 refuse vehicle where the existing body was removed and wheelbase shortened ready for our new tanker equipment. The tanker specification closely resembles that of a Hydraulic Ejection Gully Emptier, with a 6" dia boom and outlet valves (plus low volume jetting), but is specifically married to the the Barbican's unique waste control system. A very exacting paint preparation procedure and livery design has created a machine that is not only efficient, but also looks totally brand new!
